Kaneh Massage and Co. wants to introduce you to CBD Massage. We believe the benefits of CBD (cannabidiol) align with our mission to bring high-quality, thoroughly researched information, services and products to our community to help them relax and heal. Amongst many other findings, conclusive studies show that Cannabis can relieve pain and reduce inflammation when it’s applied to the skin. Believe us when we say no, you won’t get high, but your body — and your mind — will thank you for the gentle relaxed feeling that can last hours after the massage. Cannabinoid (CBD) is absorbed through the skin and into tissue to support body systems without the psychoactive (THC) component. CBD Infused services are provided using 100% Hemp Cannabis for maximum CBD benefits. There is no THC in any of our topical creams or oils.

POTENTIAL CBD OIL BENEFITS LIST

1.) CBD RELIEVES PAIN

One 2008 review assessed how well CBD works to relieve chronic pain. The review looked at studies conducted between the late 1980s and 2007. Based on these reviews, they concluded that CBD was effective in overall pain management without adverse side effects. They also noted that CBD was beneficial in treating insomnia related to chronic pain. The authors of the study also note that CBD was helpful in people with multiple sclerosis (MS).

2.) CBD KILLS OR SLOWS BACTERIAL GROWTH

CBD and CBG have the most potential for consumer use because they are non-psychotropic. Besides identifying antibacterial capability, the researchers wanted to figure out why these cannabinoids are so good at killing bacteria. They obviously are very effective at specifically targeting some vital process in the bacteria. Unfortunately, even after extensive work at modifying the cannabinoids and comparing their activities, that targeting mechanism remains a mystery. The scientists were able to figure out that the position of the n-pentyl chain (orange) relative to the terpenoid moiety (blue) serves to control lipid affinity.

3.) CBD REDUCES BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS

In 2013, the results of a five-year study into the effects of cannabis on fasting insulin and insulin resistance were published in the American Journal of Medicine. Of the 4,657 respondents, 2,554 had used cannabis in their lifetime (579 were current users and 1,975 were past users) and 2,103 had never used the drug. The researchers found that current users of cannabis had 16% lower fasting insulin levels than respondents who had never used cannabis, as well as having 17% lower levels of insulin resistance and higher levels of HDL-C. Respondents who had used cannabis in their lifetime but were not current users showed similar but less pronounced associations, indicating that the protective effect of cannabis fades with time.

4.) CBD REDUCES VOMITING AND NAUSEA

Although annoying, and sometimes detrimental, the biological causes of nausea and vomiting play an important role in the progression of many species. Classified as a defensive action, the sole purpose of this response is to inhibit the digestion of toxic compounds. Since the discovery of the human endocannabinoid system (ECS), researchers have found this complex network of cannabinoid receptor sites plays a direct role in regulating both nausea and vomiting (3).

5.) CBD REDUCES SEIZURES AND EPILEPSY

Cannabis Drug Reduces Seizures in Severe Epilepsy Cases. “Seizure frequency dropped in the (CBD) cannabidiol-treated group by 39 percent from nearly 12 convulsive seizures per month before the study to about six; three patients’ seizures stopped entirely,” the team wrote in the New England Journal of Medicine.

6.) CBD REDUCES INFLAMMATION

The other powerful component in cannabis, CBD, was also proven to reduce inflammation and is thought to play a role in the treatment of arthritis symptoms. According to researchers at the Imperial College London, CBD can reduce inflammation by 50% at the right dosage and can fight against type 1 diabetes. Also, research done by G.W.Pharmaceuticals showed that CBD could be used for treating rheumatoid arthritis symptoms, as well as diabetes, bowel disorders and nausea.

7.) CBD REDUCES RISK OF ARTERY BLOCKAGE

In both animal and human studies, cannabinoids have been found to cause blood vessels to vasodilate, improving blood flow and reducing blood pressure. Another study of CBD specifically has shown to be a vasodilator, allowing for greater blood flow and reducing the damage to arterial walls and lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke. This vasodilator effect has been shown to help normalize blood pressure.

8.) CBD INHIBITS CELL GROWTH IN TUMORS/CANCER CELLS

What the researchers discovered was that both isolated CBD and the cannabis extracts, even at varying concentrations, were effective at inhibiting the proliferation of cervical cancer cells. However, further examination revealed that it was the presence of CBD that was responsible for inducing apoptosis, a process that kills the cancerous cells. In addition, even at lower concentrations, isolated CBD was found to be more effective at inducing apoptosis than when it’s still blended with the other compounds that make up cannabis extracts.

9.) CBD TREATS PSORIASIS

Study #1: “Cannabinoids Inhibit Human Keratinocyte Proliferation…”
“The results indicate that while CB receptors may have a circumstantial role in keratinocyte proliferation, they do not contribute significantly to this process. Our results show that cannabinoids inhibit keratinocyte proliferation, and therefore support a potential role for cannabinoids in the treatment of psoriasis.”

10.) CBD TRANQUILIZES AND IS USED TO MANAGE PSYCHOSIS

In the light of the information mentioned above, it can be taken for granted that although CBD oil treatment for mental conditions is only in its infancy, the substantial evidence which is being gained with the help of medical researches and studies depicts that it is going to be a promising drug for the treatment of Schizophrenia and psychosis in the near future. Not only does the CBD oil turn out to be highly effective against such conditions, but it does happen to be quite safe and well-tolerated by the body.

11.) CBD SUPPRESSES MUSCLES SPASMS

As evident from the information mentioned above, it can almost be taken for granted that there are multiple different medicinal benefits of CBD which are likely to be utilized in various drugs in the years to come. Thanks to its muscle and vascular relaxant properties, it is highly effective in the patients with inflammatory diseases with pain as a significant feature of it.

12.) CBD RELIEVES ANXIETY

Brazilian researchers conducted a small double-blind study of patients afflicted with generalized social anxiety. After consuming CBD, participants reported a significant decrease in anxiety. Researchers validated patients’ subjective reports by performing brain scans showing cerebral blood flow patterns consistent with an anti-anxiety effect.

13.) CBD PROMOTES BONE GROWTH

Cannabinoid ligands regulate bone mass, but skeletal effects of cannabis (marijuana and hashish) have not been reported. Bone fractures are highly prevalent, involving prolonged immobilization and discomfort. Here we report that the major non-psychoactive cannabis constituent, cannabidiol (CBD), enhances the biomechanical properties of healing rat mid-femoral fractures.

14.) CBD HELPS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM

If there is an imbalance between cell-mediated and humoral immunity, it results in disease and dysfunction. For example, multiple sclerosis is an example of an autoimmune disease, in which the cell-mediated immune system is hyper-activated against the individual’s own brain and nervous system—as if it were foreign. Interestingly, the ECS and cannabinoids have been shown to play a key role in “balancing” the various arms and components of the immune system.

15.) CBD PROTECTS AGAINST NERVOUS SYSTEM DEGENERATION

The human body has a fatty acid called amide hydroxylase (FAAH), an enzyme which and breaks down the neurotransmitter, anandamide, which is associated with the neural generation of motivation and pleasure, as well as neural development in early stage embryos. CBD suppresses the effect of FAAH in the body, creating higher levels of anandamide, which in turn naturally binds to Cannabinoid type 1 receptors (known as CB1), which are concentrated in our central nervous systems.
